Searching Online for Careers in Aging

Whether you are looking to start a first career or simply want to know what job opportunities are available to gerontologists, searching for a position can be a daunting task. Over the last several years a number of excellent websites have been established that are designed to assist you in your search. Many job searchers are unaware of how to fully utilize the capabilities of these sites and services. Several of these sites, for example, allow you to register (for free) and post your resume, list your qualifications and identify the region of the country you might be considering for potential employment. Many employers regularly check these sites to scan for prospective employees.

All of the sites listed below contain search engines that allow you to type in keywords. The following terms generally produce results related to gerontology:

Aging
Gerontology
Aging services
Elderly
Health Care and Aging

Remember to be creative! If you are interested in "Senior Housing", then use it as a search term.
